The Wedding of Clare and Matthew

Just over a week ago, we had the pleasure of working together with the planners of Paige Events at Clare and Matthew’s wedding. After their Catholic ceremony, a vintage Volkswagen campervan transported them to their next location. They had chosen the gorgeous setting of Walton Hall in Wellesbourne as the backdrop for their reception. Their international guest list was lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful English summer’s day in these stunning surroundings. Paige events didn’t just dress the room of the wedding breakfast, but also tranformed the room of the evening celebrations with an Arabic theme.
I hope you will enjoy the trailer:

On a separate note, I’m sure many of you have heard Sylvia will be speaking at the WEVA expo this year. After receiving a CEA Award for one of our Short-Form weddings, it seemed the perfect subject to talk about. Under the title ‘Anatomy of a Short Form’, Sylvia will talk about our approach to this format, which we introduced to our market a few years ago. As a way to promote the seminar, Sylvia put a little clip together highlighting our ‘Belgian heritage’ and included some rarely seen footage of the both of us.

Carole and Neil’s Wedding Film Trailer

Spring is in the air, actually after this last weekend, I think summer is in the air. So let me take you back to this winter with Carole and Neil’s wedding film trailer. Filmed just before Christmas at Hazlewood castle in North Yorkshire.

And some other news for fellow videographers out there now. On May 15th, we are organising a super one day training workshop which will take place in Sheffield. We will cover shooting and editing techniques, marketing and sales and have shoot out sessions with our “bride for the day”. For more details visit our training website.

Double Feature and a Bonus

So I haven’t exactly been updating on a regular basis lately, apologies. To make up for the lack of blog posts over the past few weeks, there will be a double feature and a few bonus materials.

So first up, we have a trailer to the wedding video of Bisola and Temitope who tied the knot in Bristol this summer. I won’t say too much about their wedding this time (more about them later), but I would just like to say that their wedding was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been too. They were such a genuinely friendly and lovely couple and their enthusiasm was just contagious, it was impossible not to enjoy yourself that day.

Next up, the highlights to Jane and Richard’s wedding at St Augustine’s Priory near Ashford in Kent. I’ve already told you all about them back in August when I shared their trailer. Jane and Richard pretty much trusted us to do whatever we thought would be best for their video and based on one of Jane’s recent Facebook updates, that worked out just fine. “To all friends and family that attended it will soon be available to view online! Its not your usual trad wedding vid,its a lil bit funked up & bloody great if I say so myself! …..Sylvia & Niels of Ever After ur the ‘nuts ‘ guys! Thanks sooooo much! X”

And now on to the bonus material. Anyone who knows us, knows that we are big fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and pretty much anything made by Joss Whedon). Earlier this year, I happened to come across a website advertising a fan convention for anything Joss Whedon related for the weekend of Halloween. Seemed like a great, yet incredibly geeky, idea. So this past weekend we were in London attending HalloWhedon! There were several stars of the shows, including James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon. There were signings, talks with the stars, auctioning of memorabilia and even a dinner with James Marsters (which went for £900!!!). On Saturday evening there was a big Halloween ball, best one we’ve ever been too, so many people in fabulous costumes. We had a blast the whole weekend!

Jane & Richard’s Wedding Trailer

Jane and Richard’s wedding took place on a beautiful summer’s day back in July at St Augustine’s Priory near Ashford in Kent. The wedding was lovingly themed in a vintage style, with birdcages, shades of pink, plenty of flowers and Jane’s dress was positively dreamy. The fabulous string quartet Stringendo played during the ceremony and reception (they have some really great arrangements, really enjoyed their music) and a witty French magician provided some light entertainment, while a guitar player set the right mood during the wedding breakfast. Then in the evening, they danced the night away to the music of the band Coast and the guests were all given Chinese wishing lanterns which looked enchanting as they floated away in the night’s sky. And all the while we had a great time working together with their photographer, Nikos (you can see Jane and Richard’s photos here) and their toastmaster Graham Beacom.
The newlyweds then took off for a very relaxing honeymoon in the Maldives, having seen their photographs, it looked AMAZING!

Anyway, without further ado, here is the trailer to their wedding film.

In a few days time, we will be taking a few weeks off. First of all to relax a bit after a busy summer of filming plenty of weddings, but also to go to the biggest videographer’s convention in the world in Orlando. We’re very much looking forward to learning plenty of new things and meeting up with some old friends. But don’t worry, we’ll keep you up to date on the blog and through Twitter!

Ken and Laura’s wedding trailer, filmed at Highclere Castle

Just over a month ago we filmed Laura and Ken’s wedding at Highclere Castle in Hampshire. It was a beautiful spring day, actually felt more like a summer’s day already. Laura wore a dreamy wedding dress adorned with lots a lace, a string quartet, soprano singer and trumpet player made the ceremony unforgettable, while the band in the evening provided the perfect atmosphere for a real good party. Last week I was frantically working on the trailer to their wedding video. It was supposed to be online on Thursday, but time was against us. We had to get ready for that weekend’s shoots and meetings with clients, so we didn’t quite make it. So after meeting clients on Thursday, shooting an absolutely beautiful wedding at Highclere Castle again on Friday, then an utterly fun wedding on Saturday at St Augustine’s Priory near Ashford in Kent, followed by a long drive home on Sunday and a recovery/”sort out the paperwork-day” on Monday, here we finally are on Tuesday, ready to share that trailer with you. So Ken and Laura, without further ado, here it is!

Having now filmed two weddings at Highclere Castle within a few weeks of each other, I can honestly say it must be one of the most wonderful venues in the country. Not only does it look incredibly amazing, the service there is second to none. Michelle, the wedding coordinator, along with Fernanda and Luis and the rest of the team run the place like clockwork, every little minute detail is taken care of, from making sure all the food goes out looking perfect and identical to the seat covers being put on just right to the millimetre. We can’t wait to film another wedding there!
