Gemma & Alick’s wedding video set at the Four Season Hotel, Hampshire
A while ago, I posted the trailer to Gemma & Alick’s wedding film. For some time now, I’ve been meaning to add their highlights to the blog too, but I just haven’t managed to get around to it, until today!
Gemma and Alick’s wedding was back in August at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire. They had chosen for an outdoor ceremony in the hotel’s beautiful walled garden, however, it looked like the weather didn’t want to play along. Rain clouds were creeping in closer, the venue was keeping an eye on a detailed minute by minute forecast and a decision on whether to have the ceremony indoors or outdoors, was held off until the last minute. Luckily, the heavens didn’t open and they were able to hold the ceremony outside!
The ceremony was beautifully conducted by the couple’s friend Malcolm, who also made all the flower arrangements for the wedding day. Gemma and Alick, had actually been legally married the day before, this allowed them to personalise their ceremony with Alick’s Jewish heritage.
The rest of the day was just wonderful, beautiful sunny weather, a string quartet, a choccywoccydoodah wedding cake, and in the evening, some traditional Jewish dancing and a Chinese lantern release. The Chinese lanterns really kept the venue on its toes, ready with fire extinguishers on the roof, but for all of us, they added that extra fairytale feeling to an already magical day. We hope their married life may be just as beautiful and perfect!

Are you snowed in? We pretty much are! If you’ve had your fun outside throwing snowballs and making snowmen (I know I have) and feel like being in some warmer surroundings, here’s a little something for you to keep you busy for the next 30 minutes or so. It’s another full wedding video, this time of Catherine and Andrew’s wedding. We showed you their trailer a while ago, now you get the see full works!
Their wedding took place at the Ravenswood Hotel in West Sussex back in August last year. The morning of the wedding, the heavens opened and it looked like that would be the setting for the rest of the day. Luckily, the rain moved on just before the ceremony and we were left with a glorious summer’s day. Catherine’s wedding dress was customised to fit the pale green colour scheme. She had also been busy designing all the invitations, menu’s, place cards, … The beautiful wedding cake, adorned with sugar calla lilies, was made by Catherine’s mum.
