Please vote for us!

We’ve entered 2 short wedding clips into a competition, The MCPS Musical Marriage Award. To our surprise both our clips were short-listed for the award. The winner will be decided by popular vote. This is where we are hoping that you will come in and add your vote.

To vote you just need to visit the MCPS website, decide on your favourite clip, add your contact details and just submit your vote. No need to sign up for anything.

Our clips are the “Trash the Dress” and the “Emma & Gavin: Photoshoot” clip. We’ve featured both of these clips on this blog before. We loved both those clips and we received many raving comments about them, so we thought they might be worthy of an award. The Trash the Dress was a special after the wedding shoot done in Belgium back in May and required a brave bride to pose in a few somewhat unconventional places, including a muddy pond. Emma & Gavin’s wedding day photo shoot at Hassop Hall in Derbyshire was a bit less audacious, but was just as much fun, which can obviously be seen in the clip.

Obviously, we would be very grateful to receive your vote, but there might also be something in it for you as there is also a chance to with £100 worth of HMV vouchers. And if you really like our work, please pass this information on to all your friends and family too… ok, maybe that’s a bit of a cheeky request. ;-)

Voting closes on 13 October.

We will know the results on 15 October at the IOV Convention at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

About time! More wedding video clips!

Wow, I can’t believe wow long it’s been since I’ve put some video on this blog, ouch! Time to put this right! Let’s start of with Victoria & Chris’ wedding highlights. It was one of the rare occasions this year that we actually got to shoot a wedding in our home town, Sheffield, at St Augustine’s, Brocco Bank. Followed by the reception at the Crown Hotel in Bawtry near Doncaster. Photography on this occasion was provided by C&C photography who were loads of fun to work with on the day and were kind enough to provide with us with some photos for the DVD artwork.

I also want to share a little act that the bridesmaids put together to surprise Victoria. This was really was the talk of the day and brought the house down. I’m kind of hoping it might inspire bridesmaids all over the world to show off their creative side. It’s personal touches like this one that really make a wedding extra special.

In the evening they also had a ceilidh, I can assure you this the perfect way to burn some of those calories you accumulate from eating to much wedding cake and it also beats a simple slow shuffle shuffle dance hands down!

And on a personal note, this wedding happened to have some guests we know quite well. Niels’ godson Zack was one of the guests, as his dad is one the groom’s nephews. That gave us a chance to catch up with our friends, always nice!

Anyway, here are the highlights

and the bridesmaids’ “Hey there Victoria”

7 Years of Wedded Bliss

Today Niels and I are celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary and I can honestly say we’re still as happy (if not happier!) as we were that day! I just love being married to him!
