Niki & Will
Here are the highlights of Niki and Will’s wedding. They got married on 17 November at the Belton Woods Hotel in Lincolnshire. I’ve just received an email from them to say they are expecting their first baby! So congratulations and all the best of luck to them!
A few tips for brides
I thought I’d share a few tips with you that might come in handy on your wedding day.
1. Keep some lip gloss nearby at all times during the reception. A bridesmaid or your new husband will gladly carry it for you.
2. Don’t wear socks when you’re getting ready. When filming you putting your shoes on, it’s not nice to see marks. Same thing applies to wearing bras, don’t wear one if you have a strapless dress, it can take ages before strap marks disappear.
3. Cut the straps to hang your dress on a hanger out of your dress before you put it on. These straps have a tendency to creep up and don’t look great in photographs or on film.
4. Buy some foot spray and make sure someone takes it along for you on your wedding day. You’ll be standing a lot in those pretty wedding shoes and your feet will get tired. They will, however, feel much better after you’ve applied some foot spray.
5. As absurd as it may sound: get some safety pins! They come in handy more often than you’d think. But don’t worry, we buy a supply of safety pins every year to hand out at weddings in case you’d forget or can’t find them.

Happy Easter from Ever After
Niels and I would like to wish you all a very happy Easter and as we can’t share any delicious Easter eggs with you, we thought we’d share yesterday’s Wedding Day Edit with you.
Clare & Richard’s wedding was at Leigh Court near Bristol. Clare organised the whole wedding and made so many of the little details herself, from the most original invitations (I’ll have to show you a picture of those one of these days) to the favours. We all had a fabulous day.
Charlotte & Dudley
Saturday 21 July 2007. That was the day that many parts of the UK, mainly around Gloucestershire, Worchestershire and Warwickshire, were flooded. People were advised not to travel around these areas. This was also the day of Charlotte and Dudley’s wedding at Studley Castle in Warwickshire.
The night before the wedding, the groom and many of the guest were evacuated from their hotel due to the floods. They barely made it to Studley Castle to spend the night there. On the morning of the wedding, the rain was still pouring down, the church was hardly reachable, the road looked more like a small lake. We arrived at the castle to film Charlotte getting ready while her father and all the ushers were frantically trying to arrange new accommodations for many of their guests. This was going to be an interesting day…
But the rain stopped about half an hour before the ceremony and it stayed dry all day, they managed to have the drinks reception outdoors and the rain didn’t come back until after the fireworks late in the evening. All turned out well and Charlotte and Dudley had the most wonderful day.
Birthday Boy!
We celebrated Niels’ birthday this weekend. We had a meeting with clients down in Kent on Saturday and decided to combine this with a day off for Niels’ birthday. We visited Leeds Castle on Saturday afternoon, unfortunately the weather wasn’t that great. The good thing is that an entry ticket to Leeds Castle is valid for one year and as we’ve got a few weddings in that area this year, we’ll hopefully be able to visit when the weather is a bit nicer. But even in bad weather, this place won’t fail to impress you!

On Sunday, his birthday, we drove back up to Sheffield and visited Burghley House in Stamford along the way. This time the weather was perfect. The house itself wasn’t open to visit yet, but we spent the whole afternoon walking in the gardens of house and enjoying the scenery. Definitely worth another visit too!

I love my job
I love my job!
I often work 7 days a week, never get to enjoy summer properly, spend most of my days in the office alone and most of the year I have no social life. Yet, I do love my job. Why? Because it’s fun and rewarding.
Take Andrea & Stephen, they got married on 31 August last year at Waterton Park Hotel near Wakefield. From the first moment we go in touch with them, they were the friendliest people ever and a joy to work for. They are more to us than just clients, they are our friends. And to top it all of, Andrea always writes us sweetest emails:
I was really taken on how much fun was had by all, so many smiling faces you captured the feeling of the day perfect, you made it a perfect day.
The detail is perfect too, just what I really wanted to see. All the work wrapped in a DVD so I can keep the memory forever.
It didn’t make me cry but I had a huge smile on my face and said AWWWW a lot LOL, the music was placed perfect, really blown away by the whole thing.
Thank you so very much, it’s just awesome, couldn’t have asked for any better…. Well…. There were two people missing off the video…. YOU GUY’S…. Shame you didn’t catch each other and added yourself you our DVD. It’s a great miss but I can understand why you didn’t add yourself. As long as you know you were our guest and we saw you as that.
Thank you so very VERY much, you have done us so proud, it was the best thing we did to ask you Guys to capture our day, very much appreciated and your perfect work will be treasured and loved forever.
Now you can see why I love my job so much!
